T&C's for using this website

These terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions") govern the use of www.cabtime.co.uk (the "website, the site". By using this website, you indicate that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to abide by them at all times.


Intellectual Property

All content published and made available on our website is the property of CABTIME and the creators of the website. This includes but is not limited to images, text, logos, documents, downloadable files and anything that contributes to the composition of our website.


Age Restrictions

The minimum age to use our website is 18 years old. By using this website, users agree that they are over 18 years old. We do not assume any legal responsibility for false statements about age.


Accounts

When you create an account on our website or mobile app, you agree to the following:

  1. You are solely responsible for your account and the security and privacy of your account, including passwords or sensitive information attached to that account; and
  2. All personal information you provide to us through your account is up-to-date, accurate, and truthful and you will update your personal information if it changes.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you are using our website illegally or if you violate these terms and conditions.


Service

These terms and conditions govern the booking of our services available on our website and passenger app.


The following services are available on our website:

  • Transport service

The services will be paid for in full. A pre-authorised payment will be taken when you book your journey. This is a pending charge and does not reflect the final chargeable amount. Once your booking is complete, any extra charges which may include the following Airport drop-off and pick-up charges (Car park fees), Toll charges, Ulez (if this applies), Congestion charges and any other charges related to your travel with us will be charged against the payment method on your customer profile.


Using the CABTIME passenger app (the "App"), which can be downloaded on mobile devices, or our online web booker (the "Web Booker") on our website, you can request, book, and pay for passenger transportation services (referred to as "Journeys, Trips, and Rides") using the free platform provided by CABTIME.


When you submit a ride request using the App, CABTIME will process your request and may approve your booking (depending on your location and payment history) to identify and assign you a driver who is willing and able to complete your travel request.


CABTIME shall provide the following services in connection with the booking as part of the service.

  • Accepting and processing your bookings as they come in.
  • Locating a driver to fulfil your request.
  • Keeping track of bookings.
  • Remotely monitoring trips booked to guarantee the safety of drivers and passengers, as well as the App's proper operation.
  • Through our customer support staff, we process and manage complaints, questions, requests for lost and recovered goods, and feedback. We urge any booking feedback to be submitted through the App or on our website, in compliance with relevant law and Reading Borough Council's expectations.


Requested Vehicle

We try our level best to provide you with the vehicle you requested but sometimes you may get a bigger vehicle, depending on the situation and availability of the vehicles.


Driver Rights

There are certain conditions where the driver has full right to refuse the passenger when the driver feels that the passenger is a threat to him/herself or the vehicle.


Child Seat

We provide a Free Child Seat if requested by the customer. We try our best to provide the child seat but we can not guarantee a child seat for suitability and availability for your journey.


Luggage

1 Medium Size suitcase (Checked Luggage). Height + Width should not exceed 158cm or 62 inches and weight 23kg or 50lb). 1 hand luggage 56cm in height, 45cm in width and 25cm in diameter approximately 22 x 17.5 x 9.85 inches per person, any luggage except the mentioned cannot be accommodated and is the sole responsibility of the passenger.


Communication

It is very important to keep your phone switched on as it is the sole medium of communication for your pickup in such cases you are not contactable you will still be charged for the journey fare. Always keep our office number while you are travelling.


No-show and waiting time

For meet and greet service, we give a maximum of 35 minutes of free waiting time from the time the flight arrives, which is included in the booking price.


After the free waiting period has expired, there is a normal fee of £5.00 every 15 minutes. Larger vehicles such as coaches and minibuses will cost £10 (Minibuses), and £15 (Coaches) every 15 minutes.


CABTIME will check for flight delays, but will not be held liable for excessive time spent at immigration control. It is very important to provide your flight details on pick-ups.


Suppose our driver is unable to reach you within one hour of the flight's arrival. In that scenario, the booking will be cancelled, and no refund will be provided. You will be liable for 100% payment.


If you are late to meet your driver at the pick-up location, CABTIME may cancel and charge you a no-show fee.


Payments

We accept the following payment methods on our Site:

  • Credit Card
  • Credit for business account holders - Weekly, Monthly Invoices

When you provide us with your payment information, you authorise our use of and access to the payment instrument you have chosen to use. By providing us with your payment information, you authorise us to charge the amount due to this payment instrument.

If we believe your payment has violated any law or these terms and conditions, we reserve the right to cancel or reverse your transaction.


Right to Cancel

To exercise your right to cancel you must inform us of your decision to cancel within the cancellation period. To cancel, if you have booked your ride online contact us by email at info@cabtime.co.uk or if you have used the passenger app to book you can cancel your ride from the app.


If CabTime is unable to complete a booking due to being overbooked or for any other reason, they have the right to cancel it. If this is the case, we will email the passengers and, if necessary, call them on the phone. It is the responsibility of the passenger to check all emails for cancellations.


Effects of Cancellation

If a booking is cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time, there will be a cancellation fee applied, which depends on the time we were informed…

  • Less than 24 hours of the pick-up time = 100% of the journey price
  • A refund for the booking is not applicable if the passenger is uncontactable at the time of pickup.
  • No refund will be made if the driver is dispatched or already on route for pickup.


Fouling

Any fouling of the Private Hire Vehicle by any passenger will result in a charge of a minimum of £30.00 dependent upon the severity of the fouling.


Change in Pickup Time

If a booking is made and a change in pickup time is required less than 12 hours before the scheduled pick-up time. It must be made over the phone and we reserve a right to reject the change or cancel the booking no refunds for such bookings are applicable. However, we do try our level best to accommodate the changes in pickup time near the scheduled pickup time but all our drivers are assigned pre-booked connected jobs. It is not possible to entertain all the requests for change in time at the last minute.


Reimbursements

Passengers are responsible for allowing enough time when booking to account for check-in timings and traffic conditions. CABTIME is not liable for late arrivals at your destination as a result of passengers failing to book on time. Passengers are responsible for booking a vehicle that is large enough to accommodate the number of passengers travelling. All children, regardless of age, are considered as one passenger. Passengers are responsible for booking an appropriate vehicle to accommodate their luggage. If a pre-booked taxi arrives more than 40 minutes late and the client misses onward transport, such as a flight, train, or cruise ship, CabTime will ONLY refund the fare owed on the scheduled route. We shall not be obligated to reimburse consumers for the cost of flights or other expenditures.


Refunds

100% refund is granted if you cancel your booking 24 hours before the pick-up time. Complete refund will be processed within 14-28 working days.


Social features

CABTIME may offer social features on the service from time to time, such as the opportunity to contact, rate, and review the driver. Any usage of such social features must adhere to the rules of acceptable use outlined below.


All feedback must be respectful and must not contain any offence or abusive language. For anyone suspected of racial abuse, we will pass on information to the authorities. 


Third-Party Goods and Services

Our website may offer services from third parties. We cannot guarantee the quality or accuracy of goods and services made available by third parties on our website.


Consumer Protection Law

Where the Sale of Goods Act 1979, the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or any other consumer protection legislation in your jurisdiction applies and cannot be excluded, these terms and conditions will not limit your legal rights and remedies under that legislation. These terms and conditions will be read subject to the mandatory provisions of that legislation. If there is a conflict between these terms and conditions and that legislation, the mandatory provisions of the legislation will apply.

Our website contains links to third-party websites or services that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party website or service linked to our website. It is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of these third-party websites before using these sites.


Limitation of Liability

CABTIME and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates will not be liable for any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees from your use of the website or any apps related to it.


Indemnity

Except where prohibited by law, by using this website you indemnify and hold harmless CABTIME and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates from any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees arising out of your use of our website and apps or your violation of these terms and conditions.


Applicable Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Country of England.


Severability

If at any time any of the provisions outlined in these terms and conditions are found to be inconsistent or invalid under applicable laws, those provisions will be deemed void and will be removed from these terms and conditions. All other provisions will not be affected by the removal and the rest of these terms and conditions will still be considered valid.


Changes

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to the way we operate our website and the way we expect users to behave on our website. We will notify users by email of changes to these terms and conditions or post a notice on our website.
